LumaPal Privacy Policy
Summary
LumaPal is a utility app that displays colors on your screen (for photography reflectors and visibility in crowds). We designed LumaPal to work primarily on-device.
- No account required to use the app.
- We do not knowingly collect or sell personal information.
- Some device features (like brightness control) require OS permissions.
Information we collect
LumaPal does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or photos.
The app’s color settings (RGB/opacity, presets, strobe controls) are used to render the UI and run features locally on your device.
Permissions & device access
- Display brightness: on Android, LumaPal may request permission to adjust screen brightness so the app can operate as a bright color panel. The app attempts to restore your previous brightness when you leave.
- Clipboard: if you tap “copy” for HEX/RGBA, the app writes the value to your clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere.
- Haptics: the app may trigger vibration feedback to confirm actions.
Third-party services
LumaPal is built with the Expo/React Native ecosystem. Depending on how the app is built and distributed, some third-party components may process basic diagnostic information (for example, crash logs) to help improve stability.
If you publish builds that enable analytics or crash reporting, update this policy to list the enabled services and what data they collect.
Children’s privacy
LumaPal is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
